Pick activities you think you might stick with throughout high school.

Read as much as possible. Especially outside of school, it’s important for you to always be absorbing written material.

Find a mentor. This can be a teacher, community member or coach who can help guide you throughout high school and the college application process.

Consider your interests. Create a CFNC account (College Foundation of North Carolina) and take an interest inventory.
